Responded to customer complaints in writing on behalf of the corporation in an attempt to restore customer goodwill. Followed up with employees in the field to ensure that problem areas were addressed. Some senior management signature responsibility. Promoted from previous position at Federal Express as a Trace Agent for lost and late shipments.
Research Specialist, Psychiatry Department, UT Memphis
Recruited, interviewed, and ultimately diagnosed schizophrenic patients for a National Institute of Health (NIH) research study that looks at gene mapping in African-American Schizophrenics. Extensive training in psychotic illness symptoms, which included shadowing psychiatrists on their rounds in the MED Psychiatric ER. Patient testing involved a 1000-question structured interview, family interviews, administering a computer generated memory and spatial test, and drawing blood. Presented findings in writing to a team that included three psychiatrists. Seven university sites in the southeast were involved in this grant study.
Administrative Assistant, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Supported Associate Regional Director by overseeing daily administrative tasks as well as long-range projects. Planned and executed a Regional Sales Meeting for 200 people in Destin, Florida. Responsible for maintaining electronic and paper personnel records of sales representatives, including critical payroll and benefits information. Daily interaction with Sales Representatives, District Managers, Regional Directors, and Home Office personnel. Heavy transcription and editing of monthly reports and field contact visits.
